2 And Saul's7586 son1121 had1961 two8147 men582 that were captains8269 of bands:1416 the name8034 of the one259 was Baanah,1195 and the name8034 of the other8145 Rechab,7394 the sons1121 of Rimmon7417 a Beerothite,886 of the children1121 of Benjamin:1144 (for Beeroth881 also1571 was reckoned2803 to Benjamin.1144

2 Es waren1961 aber zween Männer582, Hauptleute über8269 die8034 Krieger, unter dem Sohn1121 Sauls7586; einer259 hieß8034 Baena, der andere8145 Rechob, Söhne1121 Rimons, des Berothiters, aus den Kindern1121 Benjamin1144. Denn Beroth ward auch unter Benjamin1144 gerechnet2803.

4 And Jonathan,3083 Saul's7586 son,1121 had a son1121 that was lame5223 of his feet.7272 He was five2568 years8141 old1121 when the tidings8052 came935 of Saul7586 and Jonathan3083 out of Jezreel,3157 and his nurse539 took5375 him up, and fled:5127 and it came1961 to pass, as she made haste2648 to flee,5127 that he fell,5307 and became6452 lame.6452 And his name8034 was Mephibosheth.4648

5 So gingen3212 nun hin die Söhne1121 Rimons, des Berothiters, Rechob und Baena, und kamen935 zum Hause1004 Isboseths, da der Tag3117 am heißesten2527 war; und er lag7901 auf seinem Lager4904 im Mittag6672.

6 And they came935 thither into5704 the middle8432 of the house,1004 as though they would have fetched3947 wheat;2406 and they smote5221 him under413 the fifth2570 rib: and Rechab7394 and Baanah1195 his brother251 escaped.4422

8 And they brought935 the head7218 of Ishbosheth378 to David1732 to Hebron,2275 and said559 to the king,4428 Behold2009 the head7218 of Ishbosheth378 the son1121 of Saul7586 your enemy,341 which834 sought1245 your life;5315 and the LORD3068 has avenged5414 5360 my lord113 the king4428 this2088 day3117 of Saul,7586 and of his seed.2233

8 Und1121 brachten das Haupt7218 Isboseths zu David1732 gen Hebron2275 und5414 sprachen559 zum Könige4428: Siehe, da ist935 das Haupt7218 Isboseths, Sauls7586 Sohns, deines Feindes341, der nach deiner See LE5315 stund; der HErr3068 hat1245 heute3117 meinen Herrn113, den König4428, gerochen an Saul7586 und an seinem Samen2233.

9 And David1732 answered603 Rechab7394 and Baanah1195 his brother,251 the sons of Rimmon7417 the Beerothite,886 and said559 to them, As the LORD3068 lives,2416 who834 has redeemed6299 my soul5315 out of all3605 adversity,6869

11 Und diese gottlosen7563 Leute582 haben einen gerechten6662 Mann376 in seinem Hause1004 auf seinem Lager4904 erwürget2026. Ja, sollte ich das Blut1818 nicht fordern1245 von euren Händen3027 und euch von der Erde776 tun1197?

12 And David1732 commanded6680 his young5288 men, and they slew2026 them, and cut7112 off their hands3027 and their feet,7272 and hanged8518 them up over5921 the pool1295 in Hebron.2275 But they took3947 the head7218 of Ishbosheth,378 and buried6912 it in the sepulcher6913 of Abner74 in Hebron.2275
